Aetherwing eMotorsports releases Player_13 following review of NRRS Coke 600

Effective immediately, Aetherwing eMotorsports has terminated the contract of driver Player_13. He has been removed from the Aetherwing roster and will no longer represent our organization in any future competitions.

The Incident

This decision stems from a review of the final lap of the NRRS Coke 600.

Entering Turn 1 and 2, a racing situation developed involving Aetherwing team founder Wispy and competitor Outlaw. While the two cars became tangled, the situation was recoverable. However, telemetry and replay review show that Player_13—who was competing in the event for Nico Goated Motorsports—failed to lift or exercise necessary caution.

Instead of mitigating the damage, Player_13 remained at full throttle, driving directly into the back of Outlaw. This reckless decision compounded the incident, forcefully turning Wispy further and completely destroying a race-winning run on the final lap.

Our Stance

While Player_13 was fielding an entry for Nico Goated Motorsports (NGM) during this event, his status as an Aetherwing driver holds him to a standard of conduct across all sim-racing activities. We want to be clear: Aetherwing eMotorsports holds no ill will toward Nico or the NGM organization. Our relationship with their team remains positive.

However, we cannot retain a driver who demonstrates such a severe lack of situational awareness and respect for fellow competitors—especially when that recklessness directly targets the leadership of his own home team.

We wish Player_13 the best in his future endeavors, but they will not be with Aetherwing.
