Back to the Future: GR Aetherwing joins the NASCAR Safety Kleen Series

We are thrillingly announcing that GR Aetherwing eMotorsports will officially compete in the upcoming season of the NASCAR Safety Kleen Series.

While the world moves forward, sometimes the best racing is found by looking back. This series features the iconic NASCAR Gen 6 Cup cars—machines known for their distinct body lines, raw power, and the demanding driving style required to keep them off the wall.

For GR Aetherwing, this is more than just a new series; it’s an opportunity to showcase our adaptability. The Gen 6 platform is famous for being aero-sensitive yet rewarding to those who can manage tire wear and momentum. We are eager to put our virtual TRD Camrys to the test against some of the fiercest competition in the sim racing community.

The Roster:

We are fielding a dynamic four-car lineup, mixing strategic minds with pure aggression. Here is who will be behind the wheel of the GR Aetherwing Camrys:

#18 — Nico

The Strategist. Nico brings the tactical awareness needed to navigate long green-flag runs and chaotic restarts. Expect the #18 to be in the right place at the right time when it counts.

#28 — Wispy

The Dark Horse. The driver the grid shouldn't sleep on. Wispy is on a mission to prove the doubters wrong, looking to turn consistent laps into unexpected podiums and wins.

#74 — Trent

The Aggressor. If there is a bumper in the mirror, it’s probably Trent. Known for applying immense pressure to the leader, the #74 is a constant threat for the win and refuses to settle for second.

#20 — Flamingo (Part-Time)

The Veteran. Bringing major success from the Gen 4 era, Flamingo is stepping into the #20 to see if that old-school mechanical grip expertise translates to Gen 6 glory.

What to Expect:

The Safety Kleen Series promises "late Gen 6 action," meaning we will be tackling the high-downforce, high-drag packages that produce close pack racing. Our setups are being dialed in, and the liveries are being finalized in the paint booth.
